Four Thieves Suggested Uses
The legend of Four Thieves dates to 15th-century France, where a blend of clove, lemon, cinnamon, eucalyptus, and rosemary was said to protect four thieves from plague as they robbed the homes of the sick. Whether legend or history, the oils in this blend are well-documented for their powerful antibacterial, antiviral, and immune-supporting properties.
Our Four Thieves Essential Oil Blend combines these time-honored oils into a ready-to-use blend for diffusing, cleaning, and topical application.
How to Use Four Thieves Essential Oil Blend
Diffusion
Add 5-8 drops to your diffuser to purify the air, kill airborne pathogens, and fill the room with a warm, spicy aroma. Diffuse during cold and flu season, or any time you want to cleanse and protect your home environment.
Room and Treatment Space Spray
Add 30-40 drops to 4 oz. distilled water in a spray bottle. Spritz in the air to refresh and purify a room, treatment space, or office. Massage therapists: a quick spritz between clients keeps your treatment room clean and aromatic.
All-Purpose Cleaning Spray
Mix 20-30 drops Four Thieves blend with 1 cup water and 1 cup white vinegar in a spray bottle. Use to clean and disinfect kitchen counters, doorknobs, bathroom tiles, and other high-touch surfaces. Shake well before each use.
Hand Sanitizing Spray
Add 15-20 drops to 2 oz. of witch hazel or rubbing alcohol in a small spray bottle. Spray onto hands and rub together until dry. A natural alternative to commercial hand sanitizers.
Immune Support Massage Blend
Dilute 10 drops Four Thieves in 1 oz. carrier oil such as sweet almond or jojoba. Massage onto the soles of the feet, chest, or upper back to support immune function. Best used at the first sign of illness.
Topical Spot Treatment
Diluted in a carrier oil, Four Thieves can be applied to minor cuts, scrapes, and insect bites for its antiseptic properties. Always dilute before applying to skin.
Laundry Boost
Add 5-10 drops to your laundry during the rinse cycle for naturally fresh, clean-smelling clothes with added antibacterial benefit.
Shoe and Sneaker Deodorizer
Place a few drops on a cotton ball and tuck inside shoes overnight to neutralize odors and kill bacteria.
